The Woods Avenue Animal Clinic Staff
Dr. Gower has been licensed since 1983 in the veterinary field. After having worked at his clinic in Brooklyn for the past 20 years, he is pleased to return to Oceanside, the town where he graduated from high school, and open the Woods Avenue Animal Clinic. Dr. Gower is actively involved in continuing education on local, national web conferences and maintains deep professional commitment to ongoing research and education of small animal diseases. He and his wife, Valerie, love spending time with their six children who are an enormous part of their lives and an ongoing source of joy!
Jon has been an employee at the Woods Avenue Animal Clinic for three years. He currently attends Nassau Community College. He is very knowledgeable in all aspects of the clinic and is very handy. When he is not at the clinic, he enjoys exercising and playing with his cat Gino.
Tara joined the Woods Avenue Animal Clinic staff in August 2008 and is our Assistant Office Manager. She loves to spend time with her husband, pets, friends and family on her days off.
Margaret has been running the front desk for over 3 years and knows how to make all of our clients feel welcome. Her wit and compassion truly make her an asset to the clinic.
Angela comes to us after moving back from California's central coast where she worked on a wild horse sanctuary. She moved there shortly after graduating Johnson & Wales University with a B.S. in Equine Business Management. When she isn't working at the clinic she's writing articles for an equine magazine.
